Once our cleaning technicians are fully competent in the manual use of the thermal fogging machine, they are also issued a method statement and risk assessment in which they must read, understand and sign for confirmation. Our cleaning operatives are also trained in COSHH requirements, and the safe handling of the anti-viral substances used for the process. In order to protect the environment, our cleaning technicians are also trained in the use of spill kits and the importance of protecting the environment and our water drainage systems. Our cleaning operatives are required to read our COSHH assessments alongside the chemical safety data sheets. Basic health and safety training has also been completed in order to protect the public and business owners during and after the anti-viral sanitizing treatment. An onsite risk assessment must be carried out prior to the treatment process to identify any hazards present that pose a high risk. The treatment area must be protected by an exclusion zone and signage to prevent unauthorised entry. The electrical appliances are turned off within the treatment area. The customer is briefed on the procedure and instructed to remain out of the area during the treatment and upto 30 minutes after to allow the barrier to form on surfaces.
